VIRTUAL SUMMER TECH CAMP

Virtual Summer Tech Camps are perfect for kids (ages 7-15) looking to sharpen their STEM skills, build their own camp experience, and work on fun and creative projects! Our innovative curriculum allows campers to choose the project(s) they would like to work on for the week, and at the end of the camp present their finished projects to friends and family.

With our virtual camp, campers will experience:

  • Guided learning from our experienced instructors virtually!
  • Develop custom games, websites, robotics, and app development projects from the comfort of your home.
  • Share and demonstrate projects at the conclusion of each week.
  • Ability to work on both individual and group projects from a virtual setting!
  • Ability to develop their current coding capabilities.
  • Ability to explore, develop, and program in innovative platforms.
  • Develop their own camp experience from home.

Virtual Sessions

Our camps are each a week-long, starting on Mondays and ending on Fridays.

Virtual Camps run from 10 AM to 12 PM or 1 PM to 3 PM.
Camps are offered on a weekly schedule. Each week is reserved for separate age groups.

Available Projects:

Roblox Studio

Students will learn to work within Roblox Studio to build their own games that they can then upload and play with their friends!

Unreal Engine

The engine that powers the most popular video games today, the Unreal Engine will show campers how to create video games with a coding language that is intuive and easy to understand!

Vex Robotics

With Vex Robotics, students learn to build and program various robots and structures in a team setting to see who can design and build the best!

Arcade Game Development

Recreate some classic arcade video games in an easy-to-use web program. This program makes the entrance to video game development easy with simple block-based commands!

Minecraft Modding

Creating a mod is a common first step into the greater modding community because of how effective it is at teaching the more advanced coding languages. Learn how to create custom Minecraft items and worlds!

Android App Development

Android Studio is the most popular tool for app development in the Android market. Campers will learn how to create apps that run directly on their Android phones!

iOS App Development

Campers will learn to work in the program XCode to develop useful apps that they can run on their own iPhones!

Arduino Robotics

Combining programming and electrical engineering, Arduino offers an in-depth introduction to robotics as campers learn how to read and utilize various sensors that are found in robots and used to build virtual machines!

3D Modeling

Learn the basics of working with various 3D modeling programs to design and build your own 3D character! After designing and creating your character, learn how to attach an animation rig to the 3D model and animate its movement!

Whether new to programming or enhancing their current coding skills, they will work with an experienced instructor in small groups as they learn and create together.

Each day consists of a variety of different fun and educational activities. Here is a typical daily schedule for in-person camps:

  • 9:00 AM – 9:10 AM: Daily Orientation
  • 9:10 AM – 10:45 AM: Robotics/Game Dev/Web Dev Instruction/Activity
  • 10:45 AM – 10:55 AM: Break
  • 10:55 AM – 11:55 AM: Physical Activity
  • 11:55 AM – 12:25 PM: Lunch Break
  • 12:25 PM – 1:25 PM: Robotics/Game Dev/Web Dev Instruction/Activity
  • 1:25 PM – 1:30 PM: Break
  • 1:30 PM – 2:15 PM: Instruction/Activity
  • 2:15 PM – 3:00 PM: Unplugged Activity

For online camps, the full 2 hours are spent on Instruction/Activity.

Yes! If you sign up for more than one week of camp, we offer a $50 discount off each camp. This multi-camp discount is for non-members only, as members already receive $100 off each camp.

No. The camp consists of a variety of different online and offline activities throughout the day.

No coding experience is needed to join our camps! Wether your child is new to coding or more experienced, the format and content of our camps will provide them with a fun and educational experience. If you feel your child would be better suited in a camp outside of the suggested age range, please contact us.

For in-person camps, we provide computers and all other equipment and materials. For online camps, the programs we use operate best with Windows computers. MacOS systems will also work, however they may occasionally experience slow performance using certain programs. Chromebooks and Tablets are not compatible with the programs used in online camps.

Our tech camps are geared toward teaching new and experienced coders a particular topic or program over the course of a week. Students work with an instructor and a small group of students, creating projects based on their interests. Projects covered in camps are not included in our standard curriculum.
