Our Curriculum

Code Central provides a dynamic, fun, and educational experience for students to learn to code. Students will learn many different technologies as they are introduced to various facets of Computer Science through our project-based curriculum.

Game Development

Students learn to code and create their own video games. Younger students will begin with learning to code with Scratch, while older and more experienced students learn to code using Godot Game Engine.

Electrical Engineering

Students learn to build and code their own electronics. Younger students will begin with learning to code with Pictoblox, while older and more experienced students learn to code using Arduino (C++).

Web Development

Students learn to code and design their own websites using HTML and CSS. Beginner projects begin with creating simple single page websites and build up to larger projects like creating a portfolio and web apps.

How It Works

Our online sessions are a great fit for independent learners starting at age 7. We offer group sessions with up to 4 students working with 1 instructor, as well as private 1 on 1 sessions with an instructor.  Schedule your free introductory session and join our growing online community of coders.

Get ready for your online session

Prior to beginning their session, students will log into their Portal account. Portal is where students will access the link to join their session and find the curriculum for their projects.

Join your session

After logging into Portal, students will click a link to ‘Go to Class’ when their session begins. This will take them to a Google Meet link to join the session with their instructor.

Choose your own adventure

After joining their session, students will work with an instructor to level up their learning on a self-paced coding project.

Each day of our Tech Day Camp is $99. You may enroll in 1 day or multiple days separately.

Not at all! No prior coding experience is needed to join. We specialize in working with students of all experience levels.

No. Students are welcome to bring their own laptop if they would like, but Code Central provides all of the education materials necessary to create their projects.

Yes, Code Central provides pizza for students each day of our Tech Camp. Students are welcome to bring their own snacks or lunch if they would like.

Not at all! No prior coding experience is needed to join. We specialize in working with students of all experience levels.

We ask that students have a reliable internet connection, access to a functioning microphone, and the ability to share their screen. We do not require students to share their cameras.

There is no install needed to join online sessions, but students may need to install software to work on their projects. We include instructions in our curriculum to install software if it is needed, and instructors are available to assist with installations as well.

Although it is possible to join using a tablet, we recommend using a laptop or computer as it will help students receive the best learning experience possible.
