Minecraft Modding: Code your own zombie apocalypse game in Minecraft! Use block-coding to add custom tools, weapons, armor, and custom blocks to help you survive. No prior coding experience necessary.

Our Tech Camp Schedule

9:00 – 9:15 AM

Students will be checked in as they arrive and introduced to each other.

9:15 – 10:45 AM

Students will be introduced to MCreator Minecraft Modding and begin coding with their expert instructors!

10:45 – 11:00 AM

This will be a short snack break for the students. Snacks are provided.

11:00 – 12:30 PM

Students will continue building their Minecraft Mods and debugging with instructors.

12:30 – 1:00 PM

Students will take a break from building to have lunch. Please remember to bring a lunch as it is not provided!

1:00 – 2:00 PM

Students will complete their Minecraft Mods, demonstrate its functionality and have free time to experiment with their creation

2:00 – 2:30 PM

Students will take a break from building their mods to participate in a group unplugged activity.

2:30 – 3:00 PM

Students will be picked up and will be able to showcase their epic Minecraft Mods!

Through modding with MCreator, children gain insights into game design principles as they experiment with different gameplay mechanics, balance, and player experiences. Introduction to Programming Concepts

While MCreator simplifies the process of mod creation by providing a visual interface, it still introduces children to fundamental programming concepts. Through designing mods, they’ll learn about variables, conditions, loops, and event-driven programming, laying a foundation for more advanced coding skills in the future.

MCreator provides a user-friendly interface that allows children to bring their imaginations to life within the Minecraft universe. By enabling them to design their own mods, children can unleash their creativity, whether it’s creating new items, blocks, creatures, or even entire dimensions.

Attending Code Central was an enriching experience for both Vincent and Bella. The program offered a comprehensive and engaging curriculum that made learning to code fun and accessible. My son has been taking 1:1 private lessons with Code Central. He has learned a lot over the past year from basic coding, basic electrical wiring, beginner 3d modeling and creating a website. All the staffs are knowledgeable and amazing to talk and work with. My son love everyone whom he worked with especially Melody. Melody has nothing but patient and taught my son so many things. He always comes home and proudly talks about the great projects that he has accomplished and done. We also appreciate that they take time to have a Family Watch week where we can sit in for 30 mins and show us what our child has been working on. Melody took the time to explain the pathway to my son’s individualized curriculum. I appreciate that they cater it to my son’s learning capacity, attention span and ability to retain information and his typing skills. My son always look forward to going to his private lessons once a week.

My son recently did the code central camp week, and he absolutely loved it!I had a few questions before we signed him up, and the staff was super friendly and informative!My son comes home from camp every day telling me how awesome his day was, and excited to go back for more the next day! (And for a kid who hates to get out of bed before noon, this is huge! Lol) They even break up the day with fun little non-screen time activities, which I love!10/10 recommend signing your child up for classes here. We will definitely be looking into more classes with code central!

code central is a great place that offers things for many. no matter the skill level, there is things for you to do. from robotics and electronics, to game development and python, there’s nothing to bore you. this sounds like an advertisement but it really isn’t, and the past 4 years i’ve been going here has been amazing. i recommend this to any coder.

We are a homeschooling family, but coding is something I can't currently teach. So I was delighted to discover Code Central. My kids love going! They talk each week about what the accomplished. The curriculum seems to be broken up into manageable chunks to allow for real learning of the project they are working on. The teachers are all positive, upbeat and knowledgeable. They work with our family to make sure we get the most out of our scheduled time there. We have enjoyed some extras there also, such as: Kid's Night Out, Girl Scout Coding and now Lego Technics. Always fun! Always educational! I highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Code Central. My son has been attending classes in person and because he loves it so much, he has attended summer camp for two years also. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. He has learned so much and always enjoys coming to classes. How much is your Day Camp?

Each day of our Tech Day Camp is $99. You may enroll in 1 day or multiple days separately.

Does my child need any coding experience?

Not at all! No prior coding experience is needed to join. We specialize in working with students of all experience levels.

Does my child need to bring their own device?

No. Students are welcome to bring their own laptop if they would like, but Code Central provides all of the education materials necessary to create their projects.

Will snacks be provided during the day camp?

Yes, Code Central provides snacks for students. Please have students bring a lunch, as lunch is not provided.

Is Code Central accredited?

Yes! Code Central is proud to be accredited by the Nevada Board of Education and STEM.org
