Students will be checked in as they arrive and introduced to each other.

9:15 – 10:45 AM

Students will be introduced to VEX Robotics, choose their desired project and begin the building process.

10:45 – 11:00 AM

This will be a short snack break for the students. Snacks are provided.

11:00 – 12:30 PM

Students will continue building their VEX Robots, with a focus on the robot’s movement

12:30 – 1:00 PM

Students will take a break from building to have lunch. Please remember to bring a lunch as it is not provided.

1:00 – 2:00 PM

Students will complete their VEX Robots, demonstrate its functionality and have free time to experiment with their creation.

2:00 – 2:30 PM

Students will take a break from building their robots to participate in a group unplugged activity.

2:30 – 3:00 PM

Students will be picked up and will be able to showcase their VEX Robots

Critical Thinking

Building and programming robots often involve trial-and-error. When something doesn’t work as expected, students must analyze what went wrong and devise solutions. This iterative process enhances their critical thinking skills.

VEX Robotics frequently involves teamwork, with students working together to design, build, and program robots. They learn to communicate, share ideas, and delegate tasks to achieve a common goal.
